the uses of Dipyridamole

Dipyridamole
Dipyridamole acts as a thromboxane synthase inhibitor, consequently lowering the levels of TXA2 and  stopping the effects of TXA2 .
Dipyridamole inhibits the cellular reabsorption of adenosine into platelets, red blood cells and endothelial cells cause increasing extracellular concentrations of adenosine.
Dipyridamole also inhibits the enzyme adenosine deaminase from  breaking down normally adenosine into inosine, which leads to further increased levels of extracellular adenosine.
Dipyridamole also inhibits the phosphodiesterase enzymes that normally break down cAMP and/or cGMP ..
